After the sold out event last year which focused on the repertoire of Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Rufus Wainwright, which by the way was named one of the year’s best performances of 2008 by the Daily News, we wanted to do another one!!!   This year’s concert will be very different from the last but as equally entertaining and diverse.

What sources can you look to for ideas and inspiration? How can you encourage an unfinished poem to become one of power and beauty? For new or experienced writers who seek direction and feedback, this workshop explores contemporary poetry as well as work from the 60ʼs, the era of Pop art. Students will write a series of poems using enjoyable and illuminating exercises and group critiques to expand imaginations and introduce the issues of craft and revision in an accessible way.

One of Canada's pre-eminent Mozart interpreters, pianist Jane Coop performs a solo programme featuring a first half of Mozart pieces complemented by the well known French composers - Honegger, Faure and Ravel
