The Old Courthouse Cultural Centre

Friday November 4th at 7pm, Open Mic and Wine and Cheese Event!

This was a very popular event last year and is open to the public. Free for registrants and only $10 for non-registrants at the door, this event is a great opportunity to read some of you work or to simply listen to some great literature.

Domestic Duo’s

Our only concert performance this season takes a hiatus from the annual Canadian Cabaret to feature local performers presenting duets and ensembles. Entitled Domestic Duo’s, this concert offers a mix of music styles and genres sure to stimulate and delight. Plan to join us at the Kamloops United Church on October 21st at 8pm. Tickets are $22 for non-members and $20 for BCLA members in good standing.

100 Mile Thanksgiving

Just in time for Thanksgiving, we will offer a presentation on how to create your feast using only locally grown ingredients – 100 Mile Thanksgiving. Led by TRU Culinary Arts Chair Ed Walker, this event provides you with a number of resources including contacts, approaches, and of course cooking tips and ideas for your meal. Regardless of the Thanksgiving theme, this important event gives us an opportunity to better understand how to support local farmers and maintain good health through local gastronomy. This event will be held at the TRU Culinary Arts building on Sunday October 2nd, at 2pm - tickets are $10 each.

On September 18th at 2pm at the new TRU House of Learning, Mr. Minter will guide us through the “New Trends in Gardening” drawing on the wealth of experience he brings from years with Minter Gardens and as host of his weekly CBC gardening program. This is an ideal event to listen to Brian Minter first hand and have an opportunity to ask some of your own questions. Tickets for this event are only $15 each.
