Canadian Cabaret: Icons
Canadian Cabaret: Icons
September 12th (8pm) and 13th (2pm)
At the Kamloops Art Gallery
Tickets available at Kamloops Live Box Office at 374-LIVE (5483) and coming this September, online sales. (corner of 10th and Lorne)
After the sold out event last year which focused on the repertoire of Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Rufus Wainwright, which by the way was named one of the year’s best performances of 2008 by the Daily News, we wanted to do another one!!! This year’s concert will be very different from the last but as equally entertaining and diverse. The music of Neil Young is the anchor composer throughout the concert and joined by the music of KD Lang, Jane Siberry, The Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo, Ian and Sylvia, Buffy St. Marie, and Gordon Lightfoot - a true list of Canadian musical Icons!!! Presented in an intimate stage setting at the Kamloops Art Gallery (this year it will be almost in the round, so everyone is closer), with all local singers, performers, musicians, and dancers. With approximately 50 individuals crossing the stage throughout the concert – you are sure to see the best Kamloops has to offer in one musical event! Some performers include Alan Corbishley, Peter Collins, Serious Options, Roxanne Hall, and Kate Morgan to name just a few.
Do get your tickets in advance as this concert is certain to sell out as it did last year!!
Tickets available at Kamloops Live Box Office 374-LIVE (5483) and online as of September!
